Early Signs of Pregnancy Discharge

It is estimated that approximately 25% of pregnant women experience bleeding (known as implantation bleeding) very early on in a pregnancy. This bleeding is one of the early signs of pregnancy with a small amount of spotting or bleeding usually occurring around 5 – 12 days after fertilization. It is known as implantation bleeding as it is thought to happen as a result of the fertilized egg attaching itself to the lining of the uterus. An implantation bleed usually occurs ahead of your normal menstrual cycle, is spottier than a normal period, don’t last very long (usually a day or two, but varies from woman to woman) and tends to be light in colour (pink or brown spotting).

One way would be by how your breasts feel. Pregnant women would have tender breasts because the breasts are being prepared for breast feeding. This often occurs during the first eight weeks. Another sign would be frequent urination. During the first 13 weeks or the first trimester, you will keep going to the restroom to urinate because the uterus is expanding to make way for the baby. This pushes against the bladder making you urinate more.

More frequent urination is experienced by women just before their missed period. This usually happens within 7 to 12 days after the ovulation. The changes in the body hormone of a woman are produced by the implantation of the embryo. The hormone that causes this is the “human chorionic gonadotropin” (hCG).

Some women claim of nausea and cramping during the early stages of pregnancy. These can be due to other conditions, of course, but they often present with pregnancy, so you need to watch out for these eventualities, too.

Whenever you face any of the unusual early pregnancy symptoms, do not delay, and rush to your physician about its effects on your pregnancy or to reduce discomforts of those symptoms.
