Early Signs of Pregnancy First Week

It is often very difficult to tell if you are pregnant or not because the presenting signs and symptoms can be easily mistaken for some other health disorders. Nonetheless, it helps to have a good understanding of what these earliest pregnancy signs and symptoms are so that in the event that you get to experience one or more of these, you can take the necessary steps to verify if, indeed, you are pregnant.

One of the surest ways to tell as to whether or not you are pregnant would be the presence of nausea or morning sickness. Frequent vomiting or the constant feeling of nausea is a tell tale sign. This is different from the usual queasy feeling one would get from binging too much. To combat this, mothers-to-be can try to eat less spicy foods and eat smaller meals. This will help alleviate the discomfort.

Primarily, the first pair of weeks count the period from your last menstruation to the actual conception. The conception refers back to the time when the sperm was prepared to fertilize the egg. When the third week ends, the fertilized egg becomes an embryo. Meanwhile by the fourth week, nausea could begin to manifest. The fifth week signals the formation of the baby’s organs, when heart beats of the baby begin. By week seven, the dimensions of the baby doubles. On the ninth week, the gender of the baby will be determined already.

Missed Period: Missed period is considered to be the most obvious and very early symptom of pregnancy. Still many women miss their period for one or other reason. These include stress, illness, adverse reaction to food and hormonal imbalance. If missed periods are related to very early symptom of pregnancy it must be confirmed by one or other means.

Tender and Enlarged Breasts – very early in pregnancy, the body begins making a series of changes in the normal hormone levels. However, the woman’s body is unprepared for these changes when they first occur. There are several changes that will happen in the body in reaction to new hormone levels. One of the most noticable changes occur in the shape of and feelings of tenderness in the breasts. The good news is that these feelings of tenderness go away fairly quickly as the body becomes accustomed to the new hormone chemistry.
