Initial Signs of Pregnancy

Have you been planning for a baby for a while now? Do you think you might already have a tiny little seed of life in you? Well then, it is time to know what the initial signs of pregnancy are, so you can more or less judge whether or not you might be pregnant at this very moment!

A Drop In Cycle – One of the first signs of potential pregnancy is a change in your menstruation cycle. Brief or temporary bleeding in amounts that you’re not normally used to during your period can also be a positive indication of pregnancy.

Morning Sickness. Feeling quite sick and nauseous especially in the mornings are familiar and very early symptoms of conception. This normally lasts until about the first trimester. One day of nausea is not a symptom of pregnancy. Pregnant women get nauseous continuously for weeks.

External breast changes – The area around a woman’s nipples, called the areolas, are likely to darken, get bigger and even develop small bumps. These changes are all normal. The blood vessels in the breasts may also become more pronounced.

Frequent urination – As the uterus grows, changes here can create a need for more frequent urination. The uterus may simply press on the bladder more.

Last but not the least; a pregnancy test is the surest way to confirm your doubt. You could get a home pregnancy test kit from your local pharmacy when you see an early sign of pregnancy and use it in the privacy of your home. However, even this test may give false results if you are still in the very early days. If the result is negative, and you still don’t get your period, you should take the test again, after a week.
