Signs of Pregnancy

One apparent sign of pregnancy is a missed menstrual cycle. This is technically known as amenorrhea. Some pregnant women still experience bleeding during pregnancy, but that bleeding is shorter than the normal menstruation. Medical attention is needed for women who bleed too much during pregnancy.

Cramping and bleeding towards the start of the pregnancy is also quite common. This is due to the fertilised egg attaching itself to the lining of the womb. Many women also experience a light spotting around the time that their period would be due.

Another sign and symptom of pregnancy is the changing of size and feel of your breast. As early as a few days after conception, this pregnancy symptom may occur. Your breast is beginning to enlarge, as it gets ready for breastfeeding. Many women claim that their breasts are very sensitive and that they experience a very sharp, tingling sensation as well. Being one of the signs and symptoms of being pregnant, the tenderness of the breast often disappears a few weeks later.

Are you feeling exhausted suddenly? If yes then again it can be one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. No one knows the cause of fatigue in early pregnancy; but it is said that it can be because of increase in progesterone that contributes to sleepiness.

Once the pregnancy enters second trimester; the woman start feeling more energetic. Sometimes it returns in third trimester; since the women have to carry more weight and she is not getting a peaceful sleep at night because of other pregnancy discomforts.

Frequent Urination: It is the classic sign and begin to show very early in pregnancy. Many women experience excessive urination even before missing a period. The cause behind this frequent urination is hCG hormone.

Increased Body Temperature: It is not unusual to experience an increase in body temperature at the time of ovulation. However if the temperature stay elevated then it is a pregnancy symptom.
